Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using mintparse.com ("Service") operated by mintparse ("we", "us", or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using mintparse, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

mintparse converts documents — PDF, Word (.docx) and PowerPoint (.pptx) — into clean Markdown suitable for use with AI tools. Conversions run from the web dashboard or from our HTTP API. The Service uses prepaid credits. There is no subscription.

3. Accounts

You need an account to convert documents. You may create an account with Google sign-in or with an email sign-in code, and you agree to provide an accurate email address that you control.

New accounts receive a one-time grant of free credits. The grant is limited to one per person; we may withhold or reverse it where we detect duplicate accounts, disposable email addresses, or other attempts to claim it more than once.

You are responsible for activity under your account, including any use of API keys you create. Keep your API keys secret and revoke any key you believe has been exposed.

4. Use of the Service

You agree to use mintparse only for lawful purposes, and only on documents you have the right to process. You may not:

• Upload documents containing illegal content
• Upload documents you do not own or have no right or licence to convert
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or disrupt the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission
• Upload files containing malware or malicious code
• Evade credit charges, rate limits, or abuse controls

5. Credits and Payments

The Service is billed with prepaid credits. 1 credit = $0.01 USD, and a page of Clean Markdown costs approximately 5 credits. The exact cost of a conversion is shown before you run it and depends on the page count of your document. The minimum credit purchase is $25.

Credits do not expire. They remain on your account until you spend them. Credits are tied to your account, hold no cash value outside the Service, and may not be sold or transferred to another person.

Credit purchases are final and non-refundable. Before buying, you can evaluate the Service with the free credits granted on signup and with the free 3-page preview, which spends no credits. See our Refund Policy.

Credits for a conversion are held when the job starts and charged when it completes. If a conversion fails or is cancelled, the held credits are returned to your balance automatically — you are not charged for a conversion that does not produce output.

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the merchant of record for every purchase and issues the tax invoice. All prices are in USD and exclude any sales tax or VAT that Paddle is required to collect in your jurisdiction. By completing a payment, you authorize the charge for the stated amount.

6. Refunds

Credit purchases are final. A conversion that fails is never charged, and billing errors are always corrected — see our Refund Policy for the detail. Nothing in these Terms removes any statutory refund or withdrawal right you may have as a consumer.

7. Closing Your Account

You may close your account at any time from your account page. Closing signs you out on every device and hides the account. Signing in again reopens it, and any remaining credits are still there.

Your conversion history is permanently deleted 30 days after you close the account, and that deletion cannot be undone — so reopening within 30 days restores the account exactly as you left it, while reopening later restores the account without its history. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms.

8. Privacy and Data

Uploaded source files are deleted from our servers within 24 hours of conversion. The Markdown output is retained in your account history for as long as your account is open, so that you can return to it. To produce that output we send your document to service providers that process it on our behalf, including Anthropic. We do not sell your documents or use their content to train models. 9. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of the documents you upload and the converted output. We claim no rights over your content.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that conversion output will be error-free or suitable for any specific purpose. Conversion quality depends on the structure and quality of the input document, and the Service uses automated systems, including AI models, whose output should be reviewed before you rely on it.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, mintparse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
